Graduates of Molecular Biology and Genetics will be able to continue their academic careers in many different fields such as Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Bioengineering, Medical Biology, Genetics and Biochemistry at universities in Turkey and abroad. In addition to these Molecular Biologist have opportunities to work with domestic and foreign biotechnology, agriculture, food, pharmacy, environment, quality control laboratories of public and private institutions. Due to the increasing number of Molecular Biology and its application areas, it is expected that the need for qualified molecular biologists equipped with current techniques will continue to increase. In addition, they will be able to work in the fields where all Biology Department graduates work.
Students who successfully complete all the courses (240 ECTS) specified in the department's curriculum in 8 semesters and achieve a weighted grade point average of at least 2.00 out of 4.00 are awarded the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics undergraduate degree.
